Whether Members are looking for an enjoyable night out among friends, or just want to join fellow players after the game for a coffee, Royal South Yarra Lawn Tennis Club has an option to meet their needs.
Royal South Yarra's dining facilities provide a wide selection of perfectly-cooked meals, while the Club's well-appointed bars are the ideal place to catch up with friends and enjoy a drink.
Any Member may introduce a visitor to the social/dining areas of the clubhouse, with no additional fee payable. However, the Club asks that Members exercise discretion in how often they issue invitations as frequent visits by the same guest within a calendar year are not permitted.
The Courtyard Bar is located on level two and offers an extensive wine list from around the world. The Bar is ideal for pre or post-dining drinks, celebrations, or just catching up with Members and guests.
An alfresco option is available in warmer weather in the adjacent courtyard, which is the perfect setting for drinking coffee, reading the papers, or enjoying a glass of wine or beer. Members frequenting the Bar are also able to order food from the Courtyard Bistro.
Also located on level two, the President's Bar is designed as a smaller lounge area. The Bar is an ideal space for small gatherings of players to browse the menu and diverse wine list whilst unwinding following a game on the courts or any social occasion.
Originally created to pay tribute to past Club Presidents, the President's Bar is perfect year round, particularly in the winter months when you can relax by the fire surrounded by images of past Club leaders who helped shape Royal South Yarra Lawn Tennis Club.
Each of the dining options is designed to provide a unique culinary experience, to be enjoyed among family, friends, and fellow Members.
The Members Dining Room offers quality, locally-sourced seasonal produce in a wide variety of styles and is open Sunday to Friday for lunch, and Monday to Friday for dinner.
Situated on level two, diners at the Courtyard Bistro and Terrace can enjoy all-day meals of sandwiches, shared plates or something more substantial.
A barbeque menu is available during the warmer months, where diners can choose from seasonal meats, poultry and seafood and a diverse range of house-made salads. Please contact the Club's Events Manager via [email protected] or on (03) 9829 1530 to discuss barbeque options.
Overlooking Royal South Yarra's famed tennis courts, the Racquet Lounge offers comfortable couches and is ideal for Members looking to relax and enjoy afternoon tea and a catch up with friends.
The Racquet Lounge opens out to the Balcony, which boasts overhead heating for colder evenings and spectacular views over the Club grounds across to the CBD skyline.
