As one of Australia's most prestigious private clubs, Royal South Yarra is blessed with a number of beautiful spaces in which private functions such as weddings, engagements, birthdays, corporate events and training sessions can be hosted.
There are five rooms of differing sizes and styles from which to choose.
The Como Room is the Club's largest function space. Featuring large windows, the room can fit 160 people for a sit down event or more than 250 guests for a cocktail function.
The Norman Brookes Room is a smaller more intimate function space. It's ideal for sit-down meals of up to 60 people, cocktail parties of 120 people, and meetings or seminars for up to 70 people.
The Western Terrace is a large balcony area and is perfect for cocktail parties and informal dining. It can also be used in conjunction with either the Como Room or the Norman Brookes Room to provide an extra outdoor dimension for more informal functions for members and their guests, with the option to put on spit roasts and barbecues in this space.
With a southern view to the tennis courts, the Committee Room is a welcoming setting for a private luncheon, dinner or meeting of up to 20 people.
Located on level three, next to the Administration Offices, the Committee Room is often used for corporate meetings, with a boardroom table taking pride of place in the centre of the room. This boardroom table can also be transformed into a dining table where guests can enjoy a formal yet comfortable setting.
The Library is suitable for meetings of up to 20 people, as well as luncheons, dinners and small meetings.
This room can also be used in conjunction with the Committee Room for pre-dinner drinks, occasions when a dining area separate from a conference area is required, or when dividing one large group into two smaller ones.
