Try Personal Training at Royal South Yarra

Royal South Yarra Members have access to the Club's highly-qualified personal trainers.

Following an initial fitness assessment, the trainer develops a program based on the fitness goals of the Member.

Sessions are available on a week-by-week basis at a cost of $47.50 for a 30-minute session, $62.50 for a 45-minute session and $72.50 for a one-hour session. The one-off fitness assessment costs $40.

Members can also arrange to train in pairs with the following costs: two-on-one - $32.50 p.p (30min) - $37.50 p.p (45min) - $42.50 p.p (1hr).

Maxine Paholek
Maxine is one of RSY’s Personal Trainers, as well as a qualified Mat Pilates instructor and running coach. With a background as an elite NCAA athlete, she brings a high level of professionalism and performance knowledge to her coaching, while maintaining a warm and approachable training style.

Maxine takes a holistic approach to fitness, thoughtfully blending strength, mobility and performance-based principles to help members feel strong, confident and capable in their everyday lives. Her programs are designed to support long-term progress, injury prevention and overall wellbeing, regardless of training experience.

With a wide range of industry experience and full familiarity with Technogym equipment, Maxine creates sessions that are tailored, engaging and effective. Whether working one-on-one or in a group environment, she prides herself on delivering structured, enjoyable training that empowers members to move and perform at their best.

Samuel Dukic
Samuel is an accredited Exercise Scientist with experience working across all levels of ability. His background includes training elite athletes at Cricket Victoria, state-level track and field representatives, amateur football clubs (where he runs pre-season strength and conditioning programs), as well as individuals who are brand new to the gym environment.

Samuel’s training philosophy is grounded in relevant data and sound physiological principles, underpinned by strong foundations of trust, understanding, care and communication. This approach allows him to truly understand his clients and help them achieve the best possible outcomes.

Samuel was drawn to coaching through his own drive to continually improve as an athlete and his passion for all aspects of training. His mission is to help every client experience the same sense of achievement and motivation each time they walk into a session. Outside of coaching, Samuel enjoys playing cricket and Aussie Rules, watching live sport and staying active.

Ryan Pendlebury
Ryan Pendlebury is one of RSY’s Personal Trainers and the owner of his own successful personal training business. With a strong background in coaching and group fitness, Ryan leads our popular early morning fitness sessions, helping members start their day feeling energised, motivated and strong.

Ryan is passionate about delivering practical, results-driven training that suits people of all fitness levels. Whether working one-on-one or in a group environment, his sessions focus on building strength, improving conditioning and supporting long-term health in a positive and inclusive atmosphere.

Known for his approachable coaching style and commitment to his clients, Ryan takes pride in creating sessions that are both challenging and enjoyable. Outside the gym, he maintains an active lifestyle and brings that same enthusiasm and consistency into every session he runs at the club.
